Pocalyptic Labs is an independent game studio operated by Steve Forbes, a sole proprietor carrying on business under the trade name Pocalyptic Labs, based in Alberta, Canada. This page explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it.
What I collect
If you join the email list, I collect your email address. If you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, the details you choose to include about what you'd like to work on, any link to your work, and your message.
Why I collect it
I use your email address to notify you when a new game, build or reveal is ready, and only for that. I use contact form details to reply to you and to talk about possible collaboration. I don't sell or rent your information.
Who handles it
This site is built and hosted on Framer. Email addresses submitted through the signup form are stored in a private Google Sheet on my Google account (Google may store data outside Canada, including in the United States). When I begin sending emails, I will move these addresses to Kit, my email service provider, and update this policy, and contact form messages are delivered to my inbox. I use Framer's built-in analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, their device and browser type, and their approximate location. It doesn't use cookies, and I don't use it to identify you personally. These services may store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. You can also ask me to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you by writing to me at contact@pocalypticlabs.com.
How long I keep it
I keep your email address until you unsubscribe. I keep contact form messages for as long as needed to respond and to follow up on any collaboration, then delete them.
